Der Aromenkönig für Kenner. Farbe feurig dunkel mit rubinroten Reflexen. Glänzend, glanzklares Aussehen. Feinporige und sahnige, creme- farbene, stabile Schaumkrone. Geruch nach intensiven Karamellaromen, Malz, durchsetzt mit Lakritze, Schokolade und gerösteten Mandeln; ein Hauch von dunklen Beeren, getrockneten Früchten und Vanille. Schmeckt vollmundig, wuchtig, nach Malz, Karamell, Röstaromen, schwarzer Johannisbeere, reifen Pflaumen, Waldhonig, dunkler, handgeschöpfter Schokolade und Holz. Angenehm spritzig im Trunk. Harmonisch in den Körper eingebundene feinherbe Hopfenbittere. Langes, den Mundraum erwärmendes Finale mit ausgeprägt alkoholaromatischen Geschmacksnoten. Ein Doppelbock von Weltklasse. Dieses Bier sollte separat, in Ruhe und mit Muße, in einem bauchigen Glas genossen werden, damit alle Aromen- Eindrücke zur Geltung kommen und sich auf der Zunge und am Gaumen entfalten können.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of toffee and malt lozenge, some dark caramel. Taste is sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, notes of toffee, hints of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of dried fruit, alcohol soaked dried fruit. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium, foamy, soft carbonation. Sweet but still passably balanced, a bit monotonous - not top class.

12-01-20 // 500ml bottle from mein-biershop.de. Pours clear copper brownish with a light beige fine head. Sweet malty nose with som dried fruit and a hint of medicinal plaster. Soft mouthfeel. Rich malty. Sweeitsh. Some caramel and a little red fruity. Warming up the little fruit notes fade quickly and it’s a strong sweetish bock.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, almost black, small head. Malty roasty aroma. Starts strong, intense malty, roasty, some chocolate hints. Finish a bit milde, but still warming-malty. Not bad.

Bottle from Grima, thanks! Dark brown color. Maltaroma, bready and caramelly. Malty sweet bready, caramelly flavor with hints of milk chocolate. Full bodied. Some caramelly roasty bitterness in the finish. Very nice!

Mein 100. Doppelbock auf RAB: Freudenberger Märkator, Flasche aus dem Freudenberger Mixpaket vom Biershop Bayern. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrot, klar. - In der Nase schweres dunkles Malz, Süßwein, Rosinen. - Antrunk satt und schwer dunkelmalzig mit massiger aber nicht übertriebener Süße von gebranntem Zucker, vornehme Bitterschokolade, Pflaumenmus. Recht milde Hopfenherbe, aufgelockert durch Anis. Milder rezent, vollmundig, rund; gekonnt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang feine Kräuter, etwas Minze. - Sehr malzbetonter, dennoch biegsamer, eleganter Doppelbock, auf Dauer aber doch zu süß. (12.7.2019.)

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Raisins, spicy malt and dark fruits in the aroma. Fruity and moderately sweet taste with blackcurrant, cherries, raisins and rye bread detected. A great bock.

0,33l. The beer starts intense roasted, liquorice-sweet, not too sticky. Lots of burned sugar, intense, malty, roasted with deep brown sugar. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, fresh, intense. Malty, slightly bitter aftertaste, intense, great!

500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmmalzig, schokoladig, fruchtig. Geschmack röstmalzig süß mit leichter Fruchtigkeit, leicht schokoladig.
