William Chris produces some⁣ of the most flavorful and complex wines in the state, utilizing unique varietals that are particularly well suited to the Texas climate, many from their own vineyards. We happened to get our hands on some wonderfully bright and juicy Roussane from their Uplift Vineyard an hour northwest of Austin. Balanced with hops from around the world including Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Citra and Hallertau Blanc, expect notes of kiwi, Reisling, and gooseberry throughout.

29 September 2022. At Pinthouse Pizza S. Lamar, Austin. Shared with the lovely Anke!

Hazy yellow, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of melon, grape, grapefruit peel, mandarin. Taste has sweet melon & peach, sourish citrus note; bitter grapefruit & citrus pith over bready maltiness, leading to an earthy hoppy finish of more bitter grapefruit; pithy & crisp. Full body, slick texture, average carbonation. Full-on hoppiness and the grapefruit is elegantly added here.
