Skovlyst ElleBryg Jul is the best non-alcoholic 0.5% Christmas beer – at least that's what we think! It's a dark golden non-alcoholic Christmas ale brewed at the family-owned Egger brewery with German pearl hops, which gives the beer a slightly spicy and floral hop aroma.

Bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown with large white head. Aroma is malt, grain, lemon, caramel, iron and hints of dandelion. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, grain, sugar, lemon, caramel, iron and hints of orange juice and cinnamon. No trace of juniper though. Not too bad for a low (no?) ABV

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark, nutty bown with hardly any head. Aroma of rye bread or toast. Body doesn't come out all that thin considering it's a 0,5% beer, there's some initial brown sugar sweetness, then some chiory before a slight, late bitterness. All in all, it's not so bad, although I don't understand their claim, that this should be what Christmas tastes like. 231120
