Skovlyst Owl is a coffee stout brewed at the family-owned La Goudale brewery. The beer is so strong that it almost slips into the world of liqueurs in terms of taste, with notes of port wine and Kahlua liqueur.

In our Vintage Selection series, we pay tribute to the animals of the forest, and for 2022 we have chosen the beautiful, and unfortunately all too rare, owl as the name and motif. An owl does not draw much attention to itself, and this manifests itself in Owl with a soft bitterness. At the same time, the owl is a strong hunter - an intense predator that hunts at night.

Therefore, an intense coffee character, created by the Arabica bean, stands out in the soft stout, which, like the night, has a dark character. We have achieved this, among other things, by using several different chocolate malts - and we have also found an exciting combination of special malts, barley and wheat.
