Canned as Berliner Geschichte Bock. Appearance: fogged deep gold with a moderate white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: solid malt, spicy and vegetal hop. Taste: medium sweet, malty. Grains, some bread and candy. Vegetal hop. Light to medium ending bitterness. Palate: medium to full body, average carbonation. Overall: not obligatory the best Bock ever still a decent one.

The best looking beer I’ve ever seen. Comes across as a strong helles, no problems, super grainy richness. D&s Dresden

Bottle. Golden color. Hints of pear, citrus and floral notes in the aroma. Malty bready flavor with a floral hop character. Hints of citrus. Pleasant, albeit a bit sticky bock.

0,5 l bottle. Clear dark red golden nearly copper in the glass with a big white head. Malt and grain with a Bock-sweetness on the nose. Starts malty, light apple fruity, than followed by an alcoholic bitterness, low roasted. Okay.

Tap at Woolshed, Helsinki. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Grain, sweetness and malts. Fresh but again too sweet for me like most of the heller bocks.

(Keg at Woolshed, 20140801) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain, malts, grass and hint of sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, sweetness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy, sweet and bitter. A very grainy and still rather balanced heller bock. Alcohol was well hidden.
