330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark amber, big off-white head. Aromas of booze, toffee, resinous hops. Taste has a light booze burn, more resin hops, sweet caramel, cake mix finish. Oily texture, but a clean finish for the strength/style.

Bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin [120514]
Deep red ruby, clear, yellowish beige large head, good lacing and head retention for abv
Aroma of sweet fruity malts, some sweet berry fruits, candi sugar, touch of alcohol
Taste of caramel malts, soft spicy hops, toasted malts, dab of dark honey, rather simple flavours, very boozy...alcohol obliterates a lot of the flavour in this
Palate - sift carb, full body, smooth, rather sweet. Finish - quite fiery alcohol, far too much booze in the finish
Overall - The flavour needs to be much richer and intense to offset the alcohol here, far too boozy, not that enjoyable to drink

On tap. The beer starts intense, caramel, dark fruit. Hoppy floralness. The mainpart is stick, plums, dark cherries. Slightly bitter with a concentrated fruitiness. Dark, fruity intense with a hint of sourness in the aftertaste. Caramel, concentrated cherries, malty. --> Viscous and concentrated, very deep in aroma. interesting. 9/12/9/9

At a tasting, thanks eyes_wide_shut, crystal clear brown colour, aroma of caramel and dark honey, flavour of dried fruits, caramel and hay, alcohol quite on both the nose and pallete. Heavy and quite unpleasant.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. Nice clear reddish amber with a big beige head. Aroma of malt, dark fruits, caramel, some biscuits, cookie notes, a faint hoppy note and an alcoholic touch. Sweet flavor, malty, pretty boozy, with fruits and caramel. Medium-bodied, kinda hot. Too boozy.
