Can at Café De Teut, Nijmegen. Dark malt aroma with chocolate, soft hop, pine resin, some grapefruit. Fairly bitter, mild sweet, long bitter finish. Medium body. Nice, on the malty side of BIPA, piney hop.

33cl Blik van De Zythotheek. Zonder statiegeld, dus al een oudje. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Ruikt heerlijk, gebrande mout, iets harsig-bloemig, citrusschil, limoenblad, koffie, smaakt zacht, licht gebrand, koffie, moutig, degelijk bitter, hoppig. Lichte tot medium body. Prima milde BIPA.

330ml can at Roffa Streetfood, Rotterdam. Poured a mostly clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, nutty, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, roasty, earthy, light herbal, grassy, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Blik gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van chocolade en koffie. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout, chocolade, koffie en hop.

Tap at Reijngoud. Almost black. Massive weedy hops, floral notes, soft citrus, chocolate, toasted malts. Medium sweet and bitter, very light sour. Very nice!

330ml can. Dark brown colour with minimally late awakening, average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Piney, grassy, hoppy and roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of scallions, pine, resin, coffee, cold coffee. Taste is bitter, roasty and minimally sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty, notes of coffee, cold coffee, some dark chocolate; furthermore bitter, piney, resinous, minimally citrusy fruity hoppy, a hints of lemon peel, a subtle touch of scallions, liquorice. Minimally oily, watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Rather simple, basic - OK.

Can shared by Joes. Black color, brown head. Aroma a reminds me of The Kernel! Well well well! This is awesome! Very solid, no, very good aroma: a near perfect mix between the malts, dark malts and hops. Flavor is similar and has that extraordinary balance between hops and dark malts that a good BIPA needs. Very well done indeed!
