De laatste stop op onze Wish You Were Bere! Road trip is… Athene. Met deze single-hop beauty, showen we onze goddelijke spierbundels, om vervolgens de Griekse poëet Pindar te citeren, die Athene ‘de stad van de paarse kroon’ noemde. Een bijnaam die ons inspireerde om te brouwen met Azacca, een hop die bekend staat om zijn paarse gloed. Snappie? Vast wel. Een NEIPA met een vleugje Griekse geschiedenis. Daar kun je mee thuiskomen! We konden ons geen beter einde voorstellen voor onze hop-pelgrimage. Hopelijk vond jij het nét zo’n geslaagde trip als wij!

Can at home. Hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, citrusy hops but more towards the sweeter ripe orange side not so much citrus. Decent body and carbonation. Okay.

Can at home, hazy golden orange beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, fruit, pineapple, tropical fruit, malt, mango. Taste is the same, sweet, bitter, tropical fruit, not too bad.

Can. Hazy golden. Lots of spruce, oats, soft tropical fruits, very herbal, pineapple. Medium sweet and bitter. Decent.

44cl can. A hazy golden beer with a bit white head. Aroma of mild smoked pineapple, stone fruits and wheat. Taste of mild smoked yellow fruits, wheat malt, stone fruits, yeast. Strange but interesting.
