Meinklang Urkorn Beer Ancient Grains is a 4.75% abv beer brewed with the ancient grains Spelt, Einkorn-Wheat and Emmer-Wheat, the ancestors of all modern wheat types, which were grown at the biodynamic Meinklang farm in the Pannonian area of Burgenland, Austria.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy gold-orange with bits of yeast that sink to the bottom and a small, creamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, bread, indistinct fruit, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, caramel, indistinct fruit, bitter grass, herbal and floral hops with a dry, slightly sour finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Meh.

Einkorn, Dinkel und Emmer sind die ältesten Getreide der Welt und gelten als Vorläufer heutiger Weizenarten. EInkorn bestimmt den fein-würzigen, zart-nussigen Geschmack. Es weist deutlich höhere Gehalte an Mineralstoffen und Aminosäuren auf und zählt zu den erlesensten Getreiden. Das Ergebnis: ursprünglich und unverwechselbares Bier unfiltriert - voller Geschmack., spricht das Etikett. EIn gutes,vollmundiges Bier gebraut unter dem Demeter-Siegel.
