A beer for every occasion. Just as refreshing as a pilsner, but with a more intricate flavour. Okkara Gull is a beer with its own personality, created with a unique blend of malt and special hops which give it its unique colour and taste. The combination of freshness and strength makes Okkara Gull a particularly good to pair with seafood dishes as well as traditional Faroese cuisine.

Can from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - pours golden amber with a white head. Pretty overt sweet with notes of malt and corn, grainy, with some grassy and light floral hoppy notes, not doing much for me.

Biggish offwhite head. Clear amber body with fast carbonation. Perfumy fruity aroma with papery notes. Sweetish papery fruity taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish papery mealy aftertaste with herbal fruity notes. Well. It’s kind of odd. (0.33l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Light amber. Aroma is alcohol first then sweet and slightly plasticy malts. Similar palate but with a light toastiness.

Bottle. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, grainy and hop. Flavour is malt, grainy, fruit, hop, little caramel, medium sweet and a little bitter.

Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn. Slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Malt and straw aroma and flavor. Medium bitter finish.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, corn and alcohol. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, golden beer with a decent, white head leaving lacings. Grainy and fruity aroma with pale malts and some grassy notes. Grainy and fruity flavor, with a decent bitterness. Medium to full body, dry. Pleasant bitterness in the finish too. A quite decent Gull, but nothing interesting going on. 110527
