Brewed in collaboration with our friends at St Mars of the Desert for our 7th Birthday.
In light of some of the amazing Belgian styles coming out of their lovely brewery in Sheffield, we decided we couldn’t not brew a Belgian Style Pale for our collab with Saint Mars Of The Desert.
Brewed with a hefty helping of Hallertau Mittelfrüh Leaf in the kettle and fermented on a Belgian Ale yeast, bringing notes of banana, pepper and clove.
Combined with a soft, biscuity malt base and light, fruity hop character, This Is The Way takes you away to a sunny harvest morning.

440ml can at EDP, Kuala Lumpur, 2022. Poured a hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is Belgian yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, yeasty, light citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Light but very Belgian. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) St. Mars of the Desert This Is The Way on 25 Nov 2022 at 14:33 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 18/07/22. Light golden blonde with a good sized white head. Nose is pale malts, Belgian yeast esters, light candied fruits, herb, grains. Taste comprises orange zest, pale malts, toasted grains, herb, light white peppery spice, yeast esters, lemon tinged straw, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid Belgian pale ... great balanced and drinkabilty.

Can at home piked up from LHG online. A bright and clear pale golden yellow coloured pour witha a fluffy white froth. Aroma is clear clean grains, cereal, pils, light clove, spice, grass, noble hop, light twist of lemon. Flavour is composed of crisp light pils grains, cereal, light fennel, clove, spicy noble hop. Palate is light, semi crisp, highish carbonation. nice delicate stuff.

Can from SMOD. Last one, so it’s a good job I twigged I’d not rated it. Clear gold with a blotchy lasting bright white foam. Nose has mineraly bretty notes. Bready malt. Clean fresh spicy hop. Taste is lightly dry and spicy hop and malt sweet. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Touch of twang to finish makes for a super easy drinking belgo pow wow.
