12/II/23 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared with the Cybulskis @ home, BB: IX/2025 (2023-159)
Clear red brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very oxidized, lots of Sherry, Madeira, some dried fruits, a bit dusty, some caramel. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, dried fruits, caramel, some cherries, very oxidised, candied orange peel. Aftertaste: nice acidity, clear, wood, oxidized, Sherry and Madeira notes.

Thick-set dark cream head over reddish dark-brown beer. Vinous, red wine, new oak, vanilla. New oak is very prominent in the nose. Red wine, mixed with tapioca-and-celeri soup, with a dask of sour cream and vegetable stock. It tastes exactly as unimaginable as it sounds. Warming up a bit, indeed a bit of chocolate, as the only one of the flavours they claim themselves. Quite slick, oily feel. Very good carbonation and long lasting flavours. Sticky feel in the aftertaste. Huyge really trying? The nose is a success, but the taste... Huyge at its worst. Combination of clashing flavours, unthinkable throughout. Thx to Stef!
