Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 12C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 262 (BB: 0626). AROMA: medium-high cereal husk aroma followed by medium-low fruity notes (ripe oranges) and low isovaleric acid (cheese) and yeast. APPEARANCE: yellow to orange-ish body and slightly hazy. medium-low ivory head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low cereal husk, followed by low fermentation esters (ripe orange) and faint isovaleric. low malt background with a slight hint of toffee. high bitterness with a dry and overly bitter finish. MOUTHFELL: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. astringency present. OVERALL: an IPA with execution problems, where the hops already declined and with a bit excessive bitterness without malt support.

Pours a cloudy amber colour and a rocky off white head with good retention. Aroma's of leafy aromatic hops, tea, light fruit. Retronasal: fruity, hoppy, resinous. Flavour is light biscuit-malty sweet, light bitter. Light bodied. Finishes slightly dry, light moderate bitter. Nice English style IPA.
