A Cognac, Sherry, and Islay whisky BA Imperial Porter.
Taste: Sweet reds fruits pair with an iodine-like salinity, reminiscent of a a campfire on the beaches of Islay. Poached pears, winter spices, and cloves join in with a hint of berry-like acidity. Vinous tannins round out the taste, with a smooth malty sweetness to finish.
Appearance: Jet black with a dark brown head.
Nose: Rich smoked malts and vinous cognac combine with hints of plum and raspberry jam.

Bottle bought for style chasing but of course a style I enjoy. Dark brownish black. Small head. Nose is lots of chocolate and sherry. Tastes of sherry, cognac, woody, red wine, chocolate, espresso, licorice. Smooth and boozy.

Bottle at Spicy Days. Full body, med-high carbonation. High warmth, but not unpleasant. Med-high sweetness, high bitterness. Bursting with flavours both from the beer and the barrels. Loads of dried fruits, cocoa, barrel character - both woody and spirits-wise.

Shared bottle at RBESG 2023. Dark brown color with almost no head. Aroma of silky whiskey, coconut from wood, roasted malt, syrup. Taste is very sweet, Dark malt, choclate, caramel, barrel, coconut, alcohol. Nice.

330ml bottle kindly shared by lmojoh during a rating session with him and Finn. Dotted spots on the glassware from a fawn-coloured head, almost black body. Attractive smell of toffee and chocolate malts, hints of smoke. Well blended taste of dried fruits, toffee, and chocolate added by a sherry-whisky bite, oaky. Long lived finish, smoothly roasted and with warming alcohol. Well bodied. Enjoying. (Tromsø, 26.06.2023).
