Strawberry and Basil Imperial Gose. With 15% Strawberry Puree and an additional 4kg of Fresh Basil Leaves bringing a savoury balance to this salty, strawberry sour. Apologies for anyone looking for Basil leaves In Nottingham City Centre the day we brewed this one, only half of the Basil order arrived, so we may have had to do some panic buying!

Can from Hoptimism at home. Peachy brown colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are tangy berry and herbal. Rich full body.

Can. Hazy pinky peach colour beer, tidy and very pale apricot colour head. Smooth airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Smooth malt base, fairly sweet creamy malts. Strawberry - yeah. Lots of candy strawberry with a fair side serving of slightly unripe tart strawberry. After that things get slightly awkward. There is a decent savoury vibe here and light smooth basil but also a tangy bitterness that sits uncomfortably between the great main flavours. Smooth finish. Good, intense strawberry, decent savoury basil, just something here not quite fully harmonious.
