Clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized mid sweet dark malt, nuts. Taste of caramelized dark malt, melasse, caramel, nuts, red leaves. Strong body.

Trockener, dunkel röstiger Beginn. Milde Süße, deutliche Herbe, ansteigende Röstnoten. Dunkel würzig-malzig, geringe Bitterkeit, mittellanger Abgang. Ok. 9/7/9/8/7/8

440ml can. Opalescent, dark chestnut colour with wonderful ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Minimally chocolately, caramel malty aroma, notes of dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, toffee, slightly grainy overtones with a touch of toasted nuts and silage. Taste is sweet-ish, nutty, caramel malty, notes of dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, toffee, nougat, citrusy fruity hoppy hints of mandarine and orange, malty and hoppy notes are widely seperated, but where they find together a touch of port and sherry emerges, maybe some cherry and plum as well; minimally metallic overtones in the middle third. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry and repellent palate (when the metallic overtones are present), medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Fairly malty, diversified, sadly with that silage off-flavour in the nose - decent.
