On tap at the brewery. Aroma is fairly vanilla forward with lighter notes of coconut. Quite a bit of dark chocolate, caramel and toffee. Lighter molasses notes. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Pours jet black with a dark mocha head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Flavor is super sweet with lots of caramel, toffee and loud of chocolate in the finish. Light molasses and roast notes. Medium bitterness with medium light alcohol notes. Lots of vanilla with lighter coconut notes. Medium light bourbon and faint oak notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a fun adjunct stout. Really accentuates the vanilla and barrel notes. Fairly sweet, but it doesn't linger too long as the barrel and alcohol takes over.

12oz can at share. Black pour with a thin beige head. Just like the other Benthic variants except with a heaping helping of vanilla. Luscious chocolate, coconut and vanilla all wrapped up in a boozy blanket. Delicious.

2019 can shared. Thanks Jon! Pours a thick, pitch black with a small brown head that dissipates. Big vanilla focused nose with milk chocolate, prune and brownie aromas. More dark chocolate on the palate some coffee, loads more vanilla and nice prune and cacao nib on the backend. Balanced and leans kind of dry on the finish with the vanilla still out in front. Not a pastry sugar stout bomb by any means. Great balance with a chewy fudgey body.
