(swing top bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick and slowly lacing, off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted malt aroma with dried fruits, light notes of caramel and a shy but still present hoppy blend. Light-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate to soft carbonation. Slightly roasty taste, slightly doughy and caramelly; bitter-sweet, slightly roasted, minimal-fruity finish with light hoppy notes. Okay-ish.

Bottled. Clear brownish amber, rich firm head. Sweet earthy nose. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel, some unfortunate boiled vegetables and malt syrup. Medium bodied with low bitterness. Disappointing.

Test vom 18.10.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 14,14,14,13,14,14 - 13,85

Draught, as Gessner Dunkles. Weak bready aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small, stable light brown head. Nice roasted barley bitterness. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. Slightly creamy, rather bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Ruby colour with big beige head. Strong ryeish aroma with sweet malty hints. Sweet roasted malt along with caramellish hints in flavour. The finish is hoppy, kind of dry and ryeish. Aftertaste becomes a bit sweeter.

Ruby red color, creamy off-white head, lace. Caramelly, rye bread nose, not really dunkel-like. Roasted, malty, in the finish same time sugary and harsh. Sugary aftertaste with light hoppy notes.
