On tap at Skaal, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, earthy hops, and light pine. Flavour is rich, with lots of roasted malt and piney hops in assertive yet delicate balance. Robust and sturdy. Excellent.

150ml shared with Ryan enjoying Jens' stories about Alex, hehe. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: coffee, roasted malts, some chocolate and hops. Taste: along the same lines, roasty and bitter finish. Overall: good for a dark IPA.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with a vague, burgundy hue and a lacing, beige head. Subtle citrusy hops a base of chocolate roast. Medium body, very heavy on the licorice notes with a solid bitterness in the finish. Not a bad exaple of a now rare style. 040221
