Kuitbier is een Oud Hollands bier. Was in de regio’s van Hamburg tot Vlaanderen een populair bier (eind 1400 tot medio 1700). Kuitbier was een van de eerste gehopte bieren. Bevat 50% haver. Haver was vroeger makkelijker en goedkoper verkrijgbaar. Vergist met Kveik, een oud brouwgist uit Scandinavië. De smaak is fris en lichtmoutig. Met tonen van sinaasappel en champagne. Mondgevoel samentrekkend en droog. Iets kruidig en hopbittertje in de afdronk.

Thank you Chris for sharing this - Pale golden with a white head - Malt and some soicy yeasty notes in the aroma - Malt body with some fruity notes and some yeasty flavurs - Malt goes into the finish - This was nice

Fles gedeeld met NickvdH. Het is een troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en gist. De smaak is moutig en zacht citrusachtig.

Hazy straw blond colour with lasting head. Aroma of rice waffles/cakes, weird. Flavour has a weird floral fruity note. Nice texture. Strange overall

Pours hazy yellow, with a stiff white head. Grassy hops, fruit, light bitter in the aroma. Moderate bitter flavour with a touch of sweet flavour. Light bodied. Moderate bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally biscuity, pale malty, floral-herbal and yeasty fruity aroma, hints of yellow stone fruit, chamomile, some citrusy-herbal aspects. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty, yeasty fruity and floral-herbal, notes of apricot, mirabelle, a touch of brioche, basil. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, soft to flat carbonation. Very nice composition, fruity, refreshing, balanced - good!
