Pale Ale is brewed on pale ale malt, as well as a selection of mild roasted malts, which together give the beer a rich malt flavour. The beer has Hallertauer Mittelfrüh added as bitter hops and is dry hopped with our own Hallertauer Jacobsen hops, which contributes with a citrus gapefruit-ish scent to the beer's otherwise fruity aroma.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, clear orange to amber colour, aroma of herb and cardboard, with some maltiness, flavour of fruit and almonds, medium bitter and a bit too sweet. Drinkable but not too exciting.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Clear light amber. Aroma of malt, some fruitiness, a bit of honey, a bit of caramel and some floral hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, graininess, honey, faint hoppiness and light bitterness. Medium-bodied. Very boring.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with small offwhite head. Aroma is grain, caramel, fruit and light floral. Hints of IPA-like hops (why?). Taste is medium sweet, light acidic and light bitter. Body is light oily with medium carbonation. Finish is medium long with notes of caramel, brown sugar, fresh fruit and light chalky. Also some faint perfume/resins-like notes, but this is not an IPA, right?

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy white head. Clear, hoppy aroma with malty, fruity and spicy notes. Complex, bitter taste of hops combined with the sweetness of malt, endingnon a spicy note. Richly carbonated. Definitely OK.

75 cl bottle, BBE 10.09.2012
Aroma is slightly tart with peaches, some citron and hints of spices. Slightly tart flavour is rather strong on sweetish peaches, some hops, caramel and citron. Stickly palate is slightly too high on CO2. Interesting stuff, becomes too sweet and sticky towards the end of the glass.

Bottle (purchased at the Carlsberg Visitors Centre): Deep golden, small and stable white foamy layer, hops, dark malt and mainly glue in the aroma; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 6.4%; sweet-bitter finish, slightly hoppier in the aftertast, glue detectable again. Not good....
