Een flink feest van smaken: een deel van de barley wine is ge-eisbockt en vervolgens weer gemengd met de overgebleven barley wine. Dit zorgde voor een enorme verhoging van alcohol, en een gigantische smaak verrijking. Na het eisbocken hebben we de barley blend 21 maanden laten rijpen op Makers Mark bourbon vaten.

75cl bottle shared a while ago with Joen. Dark brown to neqrly black color. Aroma and flavor weren't a surprise: sweet sugary, sweet malty, syrupy brown candy sugar, with bourbon soaked raisins. Heavy, boozy, full and definitely not a bottle to finish by yourself.

On tap at Arendsnest, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out intense bourbon barrels, brown sugar, and toasted caramel. Flavour is absurdly intense, with bourbon barrels, brown sugar, booze and caramel malt. Surprisingly not that boozy for the ABV though. Very good.

Fles gedeeld door Keukeman, geprobeerd met Inoven en Benzai. Het is een diep donker roodbruin bier met een aroma van alcohol en gedroogd rood fruit, salmiak en hout. De smaak is vol, warm, rozijnen, vijgen, dadel en vanille.

Bottle, shared fortunately. Black. Sugary, vanilla, massive bourbon, fudge, brown sugar, boozy, cognac, cola, raisins. Very sweet, boozy bitter. Full bodied, boozy. Nice!

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby to copper, very thin beige head. Aroma: Boozy, Bourbon. Taste: Boozy, Bourbon, sweet. Warming mouthfeel. Malty. Notes of caramel fudge, some dark dried fruit, raisins, hints of licorice. Bit creamy and a little sirupy. Over medium sweet, light to moderate bitterness.Well balanced, nice slow sipper.
