75cl bottle from Netto. thanks Netto/To øl for bringing high-end craft beer to a discount supermarket. At a very very fair price indeed. clear nutty brown, small beige head. mild aroma. nuts, caramel, malts, syrup. very faint (quite nice) herbal notes, perhaps from hops or yeasts. Flavor is rounded but bitter nuts, a full flavored and quite complex body of flavors like syrup, faint caramel, nuts, bitter wood-licorice, port-wine barrel. toasted malts, many other finer notes. no weird notes standing out by themselves. very well rounded, very balanced, quite tasty. Certanly one of the better brown ales i have had, does have a slight feel of mass production though, i know it has probably not been mass produced, but it tastes a little bit like that. Would also do well as a chistmas beer even though it does not appear spicy. It would do well as a sipper with oranges , chocolate and cookies. I kept half a 75cl bottle capped two days in the office and just had a glass. It keeps extremely well, tasting just as good now, as when it was opened. extreme value and high-5 to to-øl to dare put this good beer out in netto

75 cl shared bottle from a Føtex supermarket. Dark mahogany colour with a dense off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, nuts, toffee, toasted bread, red berries and citrus fruits. Taste is sweet. Rather rich body. Slightly drying fruity finish. Very fine Brown Ale, easy drinking and excellent value for money.
