Tap @ BBF 2011. Amber color. Dried oranges, flowers, earl grey tea and bergamot oil in the aroma. Firm floral tea flavor with dried oranges. Sweet and almost sugary. The tea rules the basic beer.

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Light semi dry fresh palate. Menno blows me away again with his use of Amarillo hops - gorgeous fresh orange juice like hops with marmalade richness underneath. A little floralness. Fan bleedin tastic again! Gorgeous!

Deep orange to brown colour with a big white head. Smells like a ’krentenbol’. Tastes like toilet refreshner and lemon - but not in a bad way. Great carbo, medium body.

Clear dark orange amber colour, foamy white head. Aroma of bergamot, hops, tea, citrus, orange, some malts. Floral touches. Flavour slightly sweet, quite bitter (both tea and hops bitterness), still quite malty. Finish some lingering sweetness, changing to tea like bitter, slightly astringent. I’m a sucker for earl grey tea and bergamot in general. They have me with this beer.

Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.Hazy medium to dark amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, candy, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, ripped citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, very much sweet malt, hoppy citrus. Strange beer, not to my liking ... tomuch malt sweetness - do like the old amarilo whay better ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110924]
