Black colour with medium head.Aroma is mild smoked and toasted with good notes of licorice and hops nice crisp and mild taste good by style.

Tap at skaal Bamberg like smoked malts, salt, bacon, salt dried Meat, not sure i have had this aroma with non bamberg beers, its actually really good. A la schlenkerla rauchbier Flavor is hard roasted malts and the pig flavor is much less prominent. Quite smoked malty too, with salt notes as well as charred wood , basically, the barn is on fire. Perhaps a bit extreme

44 cl can picked up at the brewery. Near black with a dense tanned head. Roasted aroma with coffee, chocolate, toasted bread, liquorice, and a herbal hoppy note. Fine accents of minerals. The taste is light sweet. Medium body. Slightly drying toasted finish. Well balanced.

Dåse fra Steengaard. Den er sort med er brunt skum. Aromaen er sød, maltet og bacon. Den har en fin sødme og en lidt bitter finnish. Mundfylden er lidt for tynd.

Can from Steengaard, Beder. Hazy very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and smoked meat. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 090224

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, some tar and mild herbal tones. Flavour is smoked wet wood, some toast, mild ashes, rye and some slight not too sweet toffeeish tones. Nice smoky aftertaste.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Dark brown, rich creamy head. Phenolic, medicinal smokey nose. Dry with light body and clean mouthfeel. Licorice and coffee, some tar. Long bitter finish.

ABV: 4.8%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - roasted, smoke, meat, smoke. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, meat smoke, sweet dark malt, dark malt, smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
