A blend of batch VI / batch V and peated Red Ale VI. Dark in appearance built with a red ale grain bill. Aged in blended grain & malt Irish peated whiskey. A well-rounded balanced beer with dark fruit notes, hints of raisin, a whisp of smoke, a soft biscuit bite, sweet woody creamy vanilla and caramel, with a smooth molasses rum note.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, toffee, mild alcohol with some wooden and mild spicy tones. Flavour is mildly leather, some rum, a bit toffee, wood, spices and some alcohol as well.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear mahogany colour, small head. Aroma of caramel and rum. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, red berries and rum. Warming finish.

ABV: 8.6%. Clear medium red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, wood, barrel, rum, dried fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, dried fruit, barrel, oak, rum, caramel, raisin, peat notes, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. 33cl can from Le Comptoir Irlandais in Nice, France. F: medium, tanned, quick gone. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, roasted tones, bit berries, cocoa, woody touch. T: full malty base, light cocoa, woody, bit rum, vanilla touch, peat tones, vinous touch, dry on the palate, very nice balanced, fully enjoyed.
