It’s hard to improve on something with a well-deserved name like Stone Delicious IPA… unless of course you could double the Deliciousness. We’re talking serious depth of flavor and an explosive aroma of lemon & tropical fruit from Centennial and Amarillo hops, all with less bitterness than a typical double IPA. The result is extra fruity, extra satisfying and extra Delicious.
We have played around in the past with doing a double version of our Stone Delicious IPA. This one shares some attributes with Delicious but also is its own unique beer. At 9.4%, it drinks deceivingly smooth and really captures the complex layers of a Delicious IPA!

Tap at Skaal, Copenhagen 27/01/2024 Medium sweet fruity and bitter hoppy, some fruity grapefruit and peachy accents, supporting sweet caramel malty backbone, sticky resinous punchy bitter finish. Solid west coast action.

Can (from Alko web). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, nectary, sweet malts, some toffee and mild herbal elements. Flavour is herbal, some nectary, fruity, sweet malty and mild alcohol tones to it.

0.355 can many thanks to Lore. Clear orange body with a forever lasting ecru head. Lots of hop resin both in the aroma and the taste with a generous amount of pine, some apricot, tangerine, grapefruit and burnt sugar. The booze is evident, but not harsh for me, rather warming. This is the type of DIPA that is unfortunately very rare nowadays. I just have a thing for these big hoppy ales with lots of pine to them. This is a great example of such beers.

12oz can from Farmers Bar, Subang Parade, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear golden colour with a big lasting frothy white head and lots of champagne bubbles. The aroma is malt and toffee caramel. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, malt, herbal, piney resin, caramel, orange marmalade, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and a lingering boozy finish. Very refined. Super light for such an alcoholic beer. Rather like drinking beer champagne.

Clear, dark amber color and a white head. Sweet nose, caramel, cherry sucker/lollie, dark honey. Taste starts bittersweet and malty. Cramel and burnt sugar followed by a punsh of bitter hops. Long lasting hoppy finish.

Flight at Stone Brewing Tap Room - Kettner, San Diego, CA, USA. Pours light amber gold, transparent, with limited fine white foam. Aroma is boozy, honey and piney. Body is average, like carbonation, but alcohol is quite evident, maybe even excessive. Taste is bitter, but mediated by the high alcoholic level. Final is fairly long and still boozy. Overall, too alcoholic.

Can. Clear amber, golden foam, fine carbonation. Clean classic, citrus and pine aroma. Medium full body, light sticky resinny entry, light boozy, typical Stone hop solvent notes, light gooseberry. A hint resin in the finish, otherwise pleasant drinkability.

32oz crowler pours with a nearly clear copper gold body that supports a full off white head of foam. The aroma offers up tangerine, orange, guava and then lime. The taste delivers an even blend of guava, tangerine and orange punctuated by a bit of bitter hop grapefruit hoppiness. It flows into the finish pretty much unwavering. Nice fairly crisp and clean brew.
