It’s hard to improve on something with a well-deserved name like Stone Delicious IPA… unless of course you could double the Deliciousness. We’re talking serious depth of flavor and an explosive aroma of lemon & tropical fruit from Centennial and Amarillo hops, all with less bitterness than a typical double IPA. The result is extra fruity, extra satisfying and extra Delicious.

We have played around in the past with doing a double version of our Stone Delicious IPA. This one shares some attributes with Delicious but also is its own unique beer. At 9.4%, it drinks deceivingly smooth and really captures the complex layers of a Delicious IPA!

clear dark golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of intensive pine resiny, grapefruity, tangerine, marmalade, pineapple, some apricot jam, biscuity and tropical fruity notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aorma; just simply amazing! I'll for sure taste it on tap,as well very soon in San Diego :)

Yea stone sold out to sapporro, just like RB did AB? So that means I better rate this high? Just asking . Yea sher. So, I kept passing this can up when I saw it on the shelf, time after time because I already rated the stone delicious. Turns out this is a different beer? I learn something new every day. Its sorta pale yellow, maybe a hair darker without haze and it pours to the eye just little bit viscous, I'd say. Smell is sweet mildly volatile hops. First taste is just one cringingly bitter ass brew, just as I expected for an on style impy IPA. Whew, so big and so bad ass and sometime a little bit cloying. So much hops, so little beer for all those hops, whew. Mouth coating with very little carbonation, if any. Look, I despise IPA and for the record, the lower my numbers the better this IPA. There, you have it.

355ml can. Opalescent, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, dense, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Dank, resinous, piney and slightly citrusy fruity and herbal, hoppy aroma, some eucalyptus, caramel malty background with a touch of almond. Taste is sweet and bitter, caramel malty and piney as well as citrusy fruity and slightly herbal hoppy, notes of caramel, resin, pine, some lemon and grapefruit, eucalyptus; lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Oily texture, smooth, soft and silky palate, medium to fine, soft, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced on a high level, condensed hop flavours, dangerously drinkable - good.

Deep gold pour with a lingering off white head. It smells of fruity, resinous hops. The flavor is certainly hoppy but also has a big caramel malt body. Tropical fruit. There’s certainly bitterness but it’s not the very aggressive hop bomb of a Ruination. This is a solid DIPA.

0.355 l can from 'Bierothek' (Hagen), canned in January 2023. Clear, golden amber with a large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Intensely sweetish-malty, fairly resiny, gently fruity aroma of pine, mango, orange jam, honey and tangerine. Quite sweet, malty, gently bitter, fairly resiny, fruity taste of pine, orange jam, mango, tangerine and grapefruit, followed by a medium long, rather bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and almost oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice DIPA, typically resiny and thick.

An amber color, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has caramel, sweet fruitness of mango, hint of wet pine forest. Taste has mango, peach, some pine, not too sweet. Medium+ bodied. Good beer, even already too old.
