440ml can from Mad Squirrel High Wycombe. Poured a hazy crimson pink, with a big initial fizzy pink head. The aroma is yeasty, light cherry. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a smooth, yoghurt, tart cherry palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation following the initial fizz. Very one dimensional. Just a flat pink cherry fruit beer. Where was the milkshake?? Drank about 1/3 of the can and the rest ended up down the drain. Perhaps the worst Squirrel beer I’ve ever had. They do themselves no favours brewing something like this. Whatever happened to a brewer brewing something that the customer might want to order again?

Keg at Mad Squirrel, Amersham, Bucks. A hazy pink coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Funky, cherry, berry fruit aroma and taste. Not really my thing but it's OK.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2022. A hazed pinkish plum coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is sour prickly raspberry funky yogurt, canakran. Porridge vanilla. Prickly. Flavour is composed of loose wheat, yogurt funk, cherry, vanilla, ok. Palate is semi sweet. Sour, tangy, pithy yogurt, highish carbonation. Swing and a miss.

Keg at MS HW, 28/09/22. Light pinky raspberry milkshake looky with a faded crimson cap. Nose is sweet malts, cherry skins, straw, hint of citric flesh, watermelon. Taste comprises light cherry tang, vanilla essence, lactic pinch, grass, herb, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest hop presence. Passable affair ... I mean its not terrible at all but I'm not sure I need cherry in a pale ale and I'm certain the milk shake sub genre is weak AF!
