The slow-fermented lager offers green grape, gooseberry and a whack of citrus fruits on the nose and in the taste, with a super-clean finish that will quench the thirst of even the most parched drinker.

Can from Against The Grain. Pale golden body with a faint haze and a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of orange pith, white grape and dried grass. Flavour of underripe peach and lime zest. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. This has an unusual/modern hop combination for the style; it’s nice and fruity, but I prefer the traditional Noble hops flavours.

Keg at Fyne Ales. It pours clear yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, grassy, soft fruity character, fruity vibes, white grain, gooseberry, bready, muffin and fruit cake. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, grassy, peppery spice, straw, hay, citrus peel, white pepper, lemongrass and touch of white grape with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Bitter, crushable and moreish. Quenching stuff.

On keg at Monty's Bar. Appearance - golden amber with a neat head. Nose - sweetcorn and lemon. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied and creamy. Dry finish. Overall - strange that this is under India Pale style. I'd have gone Helles.
