Mediumlasting fizzy head. Aroma is butterscotch, toffee, dried fruits, vanilla, grass, some oak. Taste is slightly dry, toffee, grass, hay, vanilla, oak, chocolate. Medium bitterness. Fair enough.

(bottle, 33cl, 2012 edition) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly malty aroma with notes of coconut, anise, vanilla and toffee, accompanied by a delicately fruity touch of ripe pineapples. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly buttery malty base with oaky accents with hints of vanilla and toffee; moderately sweet malty finish, not as sticky as expected with a whiff of alcohol. Not bad, quite rounded. 13.IV.13

Pours dark amber with a large head.Nose shows lots of toffee and butterscotch along with vanilla and soft spiced apple. Very sweet-smelling.Equally sweet flavours. Maybe too sweet. More butter, butterscotch and toffee. Incredibly sweet.Could use a lot more carbonation.

Bottle at CGarvie Tasting. It pours clear amber with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is toffee,spice, honey, earth and candy floss. The taste is earth, honey, icing sugar, rum, faint vanilla, brown bread and alcohol. Light-medium body and low carbonation. No real depth of flavour. Forgettable.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Some rum notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter rum finish. Oily palate. Vanilla notes.

Bouteille 330ml. De couleur cuivrée et claire. Nez de malt sucré, de fruits (mélange de fruits secs), moyen-léger d’alcool boisé (fût de rhum) et de caramel toffee avec des notes épicées (poivre) et de vanille. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-doux ainsi qu’une texture aux notes sirupeuses. Goût d’alcool boisé légèrement sec (fût de rhum) aux notes épicées (poivre piquant, faibles traces de cannelle) et accompagné de notes fruitées (fruits secs) et de vanille lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de malt sucré aux notes terreuses avec un léger goût de caramel toffee sucré ainsi que des traces de butterscotch et de biscuits puis en finale le goût boisé reprend un peu de vigueur. Post-goût moyen-long et un peu sec, composé d’un goût d’alcool boisé doux légèrement piquant ainsi que des traces de houblon floral.

330ml bottle - A deep red amber with very little head. Aroma is light, sweet fruit with some wood and vanilla. Taste is very light spice with a medium rum sweetness and a woody malt touch. As usual with Innis and Gun, a syrupy palate, and sweetness at the end. Not too bad, but not my favourite I&G by any stretch of the imagination.
