Our latest collaboration beer is with Huddersfield institution Dixons makers of unique and delicious ‘Milk Ices’ since 1961. In homage to this favourite local treat we use Golden Promise, Crystal and Carafa malts to add light maltiness and colour and Pinhead Oats and Oat Malt are then used to give a smooth and velvety body. We then added Lactose milk sugar before fermentation and a little premium Madagascan Vanilla for a nostalgically sweet and milky flavour. Just like the Milk Ice, it’s a Taste of Its Own!

Can from Ales by mail, shared at home with in-laws - dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweet malty with prominent sweet milky chocolate, only a touch of roast coming in, medium body, sweet chocolate and vanilla into the close.

Can. Dark brown with a fat coat of tan head. Smells like a malted milkshake. Just about medium bodied, smooth despite a fair bit of carbonation. Very sweet and milky with lots of vanilla, but roasted and coffee flavours creep up and make the whole thing a little more beer like. The end is still a little sweet but mostly cleaned up by slightly peppery bitterness. This is very clever - it hangs together as a proper beer but is still proudly a novelty brew.

Suaves cacaos. Cuerpo medio, suave, fino, facil de beber. Bastante buena, para repetir sin duda.
