Our latest collaboration beer is with Huddersfield institution Dixons makers of unique and delicious ‘Milk Ices’ since 1961. In homage to this favourite local treat we use Golden Promise, Crystal and Carafa malts to add light maltiness and colour and Pinhead Oats and Oat Malt are then used to give a smooth and velvety body. We then added Lactose milk sugar before fermentation and a little premium Madagascan Vanilla for a nostalgically sweet and milky flavour. Just like the Milk Ice, it’s a Taste of Its Own!

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at some bottle shop in London. Pours clear, deep brown with a small, fizzy tan head. Sugary chocolate in the aroma, some burnt caramel. Medium sweet flavour, sugary and bordering on cloying, with some milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, minimal bitterness, a hint of ashy roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation and lightly oily texture. Sweet finish, lightly sticky, with a touch of vanilla, more sugary chocolate, low bitterness. Enjoyable in a simple kind of way.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft, modest fine carbonation. Pretty sweet dark malts, a trace of chocolate and a big helping of vanilla. Sweetish milky fruits. Smooth finish. Pretty drinkable if you like a sweet beer.
