Aus der Flasche (bbe 31.12.2021) im 2025-09 getrunken. Dieser dunkle Belgier kommt mit einem schönen durchgereiften Malzkörper daher. Die Flaschenreifung hat jegliche typische Süsse des Quadrupels aufgebraucht. Dadurch werden die Eichenaromen und leichten Sultaninen Aromen durch Cognac BA deutlich. Etwas mehr Süsse hätte diesen Aromen eine bessere Harmonie gegeben.

Thx to Yngwie. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, malt, oak, cognac. Flavor is alcohol, malt, oak, cognac, sugar, fruit, dried fruit, raisin, chocolate. Very nice beer.

Bottle, 75cl corked. The expected dense beige head forms over an unclear chestnut colored body. Sexy lacing. The aroma is rich and fruity, dark dried fruit mostly, prune and raisin, with a roasted hint and some brown gravy hints. Oak, alcohol and some booze. It's full bodied, warming, super smooth and with a very much acidity. Roasted malts, cocoa, prunes, dried figs, brown gravy notes, some milk chocolate and a light sour touch in the flavor. Lasting finish. Delicious indeed, although two years past best before date. 230731

Bottle shared, found in my basement. Dark cola like coloured beer, small head that dies down fast. Aroma is wood, vinous, cognac, oak. Taste is the same, sweet, oak, wood, fruity, vinous. Aged very well

Bottle shared @ home. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Notes of caramel, dark fruit, some chocolat, cognac and vanilla in the aftertaste. Well balanced.

Dark brown, hazy with a large frothy off white head. Aroma of wooden barrels, dried fruits, caramel and some spices sense. Sweet, light bitter with a good wooden barrels, dried fruit and caramel finish. Nice, 45th birth. Bottled 10/08/2016
