Bottle, 6.5% ABV. Amber color. Oily hops, grapefruit and melon in the aroma. Thinnish. Somewhat mellowed hop flavor with pineapple, lychee and grapefruit. Hint of peppermint coming up in the aftertaste.

A hazed amber ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, pleasant biscuit malt with floral hops, and black pepper notes, grassy and nice. In mouth, a smooth herbal hoppy malt with smooth bitterness, a bit thin. On tap at Mash Tun Festival, May 19 2011.

22oz bottle-thanks to jtclockwork for sharing–pours an off white head and amber color. Aroma is pine/bubble gum/resin, sweet medium malt-some caramel. Taste is pine hops, slightly sweet light/medium malt-some caramel. Light body and quick finish.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy grains and bread with a bit of backing light pine. Flavor starts with a good amount grass and earthy grains with a bit of resin coming out in the finish.

Bottle shared with jcwatts. Pours cloudy amber. White head. Nose of grapefruit, hops, caramel malt, sweet malt and pine. Taste falls flat of the nose. Mostly sweet and caramel malt. Some muted hops and a very quick dry bittering hop finish. Lightish body.

Purchased at Half Acre Brewery in Chicago, IL; enjoyed with a good friend on a hot muggy Chicago night. Appearance dark amber with frothy off white head. Aroma strong on the English fuggle hops, also a bit of bready biscuity malts. Taste is finely balanced between bready malts, the fuggle hops, and English ale yeast. It definitely has the English IPA flavor where the hops aren’t the central focus. Good mouthfeel, smooth, enjoyable.
