750mL cork and cage bottle shared by BeerBeggar from the brewery. There once was a beer from Nantucket...
Split four ways and poured into a plastic "glass" as I drank this while in a pool. Color was a glowing orange hue, medium clarity. The musk of chlorine and chemical rich water I assumed came from the pool. The beer was a mix of perfume-y, cherry pit with a hint of light cherry vomit. Sounds bad but I get a lot of lactic with just a hint of acetic, not overpowing but like something more to balance the lactic sourness. Tart cherries abound and fortunately no artificial cherry or sweetness around. Flavor had a medium sourness present, worked well in the context of the beer. Very drinkable with a medium body and a nice coating on the throat that works well with the lingering tart cherry sourness. It is decent execution but nothing to go out of your way for and pricey at $16 a bottle. Maybe the Nantucket folks enjoy this more.

8/8/10/11/11/11

750ml Bottle thanks to JohnGalt1. Pours out a red topped with a sand head. Aroma was of funk, maraschino cherry, vanilla, oak, and some vinegar. Taste was as the aroma lead by the sweet cherries, next you have some of that barrel showing up vanilla, oak, and tart.

Bottle thanks to brewedawakening. Poured a hazy pinkish red with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was a nice combination of a light sweet cherry note with a more dominant tart cherry note. Flavor was a bit sweet but quickly became tart with cherries and a nice dry finish.
