*Old rating, best before 14.04.02. Mild-weiches, nicht zu süßliches Bier. Recht neutral-herb, süffig mit würzigem Ende.

As Durstlösch Kamerad (which translates as ’thirstquench pal’). Clear medium to deep golden colour, small frothy white head, recedes quickly to thin layer, minor lacing. Aroma malty, toffee, bit toasted, bread, grass, straw. Taste mild medium sweet and bitter, hoppy and bready. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is mild bitter, slightly sweet, overall a well-made butnot very distinct pilsener.

Light fruit and malt. Has a noticeable hoppy bitterness but on the overall balance of things it’s seriously lacking any sharp qualities.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s almost clear, golden in color and with a small, white head on top. The aroma and flavor are very sugary, with some fruityness. Pale malts too, and some notes of cooked vegetables. Medium body, a bit sticky. The finish has some bitterness to support the sweetness, but that bitterness should’ve kicked in earlier and been more pronounced. Not bad, not very good. 110319

The bottle looks good, but a little bit too white. The beer in the glass is very zippy, but the foam disappears really fast. Starts modest spicy, mild, becomes sourisher in the end. Still spicy, drinkable. Not bad.
