Draught. Crackery malt and honey flavor with nice hops, grass, quite bitter, with some alcohol burn. Medium gold with no head. Faint malty aroma dissapointed. Ok, but not great.

Pours golden with nice white head. Tastes of bready malt slightly bitter and slightly sweet. Got some grass, lemon, earth, and floral notes. I’ll enjoy this sixer this weekend

Look, I’m pretty sure i rated this before but RB must have deleted it axdently. Looks like a pale lager. Smells a little friendly and fruity then has the gentleman like qualities a lager lover seeks. Some CO2 with an odd veggie or spice thing goen’ on. Cold and strong with lots of feathery personality. How bout that; strong and lager like. Grand and blistering with an impact you will not soon forget, but want too. Sierra Nevada is to the west as Saranac is to the east, heheh. Saranac is closer and just as tasty. And.....much cheaper. Nice interesting stubby little bottles. Glad they left the screw off cap, moved them into a higher category.

12 ounce bottle. Pours crystal clear golden amber color with a 2 finger white head with decent retention and decent lacing. A fair amount of rising carbonation noticed in the glass. Aromas of spiciness, grass, light malt, and bread. Aromas come in a bit weak. Taste of spices, grass, malt, light citrus, and bread. The malty character is a bit light, with bitterness showing forth the most in the flavor with spices. The finish is quite dry and crisp, but there is some light lingering bitterness with spiciness after the finish. No alcohol noticed at all. Medium body and carbonation. It was a tad bit odd at first, but as I kept drinking it improved. Overall it is easy going with good drink ability, and decent flavor. Enjoyable stuff.

Glissade won’t win over the extremely hop-addled, but proves a pleasant alternative to the normal spring crap fest for the saner of us beer geeks. Big earthy malt front, coupled with a slightly European hoppy finish, mild fruity sweetness meandering about with a carefree innocence. Still wish they’d bring back the ESB and make this their year-round lager offering.

12 oz. loose 2010 bottle from Binny’s, $1.50. For New Year’s, I’ll pop the cap on some fancier beers from new states, but for now, let’s clear a few bottles that shouldn’t be waiting around. This pours a bright golden color, with visible haze from floaty bits. Aroma is okay, light bready malts, just a hint of hops. Malts in my mouth are more pronounced and complex. Feels like it should have more alcohol that it ready does. Slightly heavy, but without the overdone sweetness to match. Just a light spicing from noble hops. I get some impressions of oak, though I know there’s no wood involved. Some bubble gum and banana esters pop up at the end. Very full bodied, thus my high Palate rating, and a beer that’s all to easy to drink right down.

2010 bottle, 350 ml from SystembolagetSampled on November 13, 2010BB 11/02/11A lot of visible particles in the bottom of the bottle, didn’t pour it all in the first go.Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, malty, sugary, fruity scent. Strong malty, sweet, bitter, alcohol taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, yet also a bit moussy. Medium bitterness. Warming alcohol and lasting bitternessin the aftertaste.

355cl Bottle, shared at Arjan’s place, Edinburgh. Clear copper golden colour, white head. Aroma of bready malts, sweet, caramel, light hoppy. Flavour is sweet, malty, bread, caramel, firm grassy bitter finish. Medium bodied.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, dried pineapple, honey, bread and slightly herbal, grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried apricots and pineapple, tropical fruit, honey, citrus, bread and grassy hops hops giving a decent bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some sweetness. Crisp and fresh. Well balanced and quite tasty, without being big and bold. Very nice actually.

Bottle from Once Upon a Vine - South on 03/20/2010. Clear golden body with a medium rocky white head. Sweet caramel and toasty malt aroma. Sweet toasty malt flavor, some slight metallic notes. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.
