I was able to buy a bottle of Furia from a roadside cafe outside of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. I saw on the label a BBD of 3/1/23, curiously lengthy period for an IPA. Opened later back on the ship, I poured into a glass available in the room, not exactly a beer glass. It showed up a murky, amber-gold followed by a consistent top of white foam. The nose was slightly tropical and slightly hoppy. The taste delivered something better than the scent, I got a bit hit of pine, an accompanying hoppiness, turpentine and malt. An earnest Central American try at an IPA.
