Weicher Schluss. Zu disharmonisch. 10/9/8/8/7/8

Dark copper color, small white head. Toasted sugar, some apple, grassy notes. Dry woody hoppy flavor, some brown sugar, aftertaste is dry and hoppy. Not really a Schwarzbier, more like a dunkel or dark Landbier.

Bottle, danke Günther. Orange-brown, low off-white head. Fruity aromatic aroma. Medium body, fat malt base, light fruity notes (apples, orangepeel), grassy and herba counterpoint. Sparkly mouthfeel, rich retronsal.

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Chestnut-amber coloured, smaller stable off-white foamy layer; nutty to toasted-malty nose, not really sweet; light to medium bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; traces of cacao-powder and lemons (!) in the sweet and slightly bitter finish. O.K., well made brew.........

bottle, Danke ins Ruhrgebiet! Clear dark brown, nearly black colour, medium-sized head. Flavours of roasetd malt and caramel with lovely hints of smoke. Rounded by a good portion of herbal and grassy hops. A delicious brew.

(50cl bottle; 4.8% abv) Clear, auburn colour with a beige, dense foamy head of medium size. Sweet roast-malty aroma with caramel, chocolate, dried fruits and delicate herbal hoppy notes. Slightly sugary malty sweetness with a rounded burnt and hoppy bitterness, accompanied by notes of caramel and chocolate; rather dry, bitter-sweet and quite lasting, very subtle fruity finish with a light touch of herbal hops. Balanced and almost complex Schwarzbier (20.05.08).
