Hop Henge Experimental IPA is our annual exercise in IBU escalation. An outrageous amount of Centennial and Cascade hops are added to each barrel, with a heavy dry-hop presence as well. It is dense and muscular, with a blend of crystal, pale and carastan malts creating an overall biscuity characteristic. It’s all hop, no apologies.

Tap at Crow’s Feet Commons, Bend, 23/05/13. Hazed orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter orange, pine, hops, grapefruit. Taste carries a big pine bite, hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, citrus, grass, caramel. Full bodied, fine carbonation. Good stuff.

Purchased at Rayan’s in Chicago, IL while searching for Dayman IPA, enjoyed at my home before leaving on a big road trip. I’m happy to have purchased this, pretty great stuff. Appearance is a partly cloudy gold with an abundant, frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is pretty potent with a rich hop profile, and a bready quality that is more apparent in English ales. Taste greatly masks the 10.6% ABV and is pretty delicious, goes down with a partially bitter flavor but retains some yeast qualities with a very light crispness. I’m also getting a touch of spice in this. Great great stuff!

Draft - Floral mellow earthy hops. Cloudy orange with a thin head. Well rounded strong hop flavours, pine and perfume. Rich body and deceptively smooth for the alcohol. Brilliant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Medium fiery, hazy orange body, medium cream head. Lots of tangerine rind in the nose and body; bitter and pulpy with warming alcohol. Sharp, strong, and tasty.

Citrus, lemon and high hop aroma. Deep brushed orange with a full white head. Flavors of floral and citrus with chewy biscuit in nice support. Bready yeast and well-balanced but high bitterness follow through to a floral finish with sweetness of grain on the lips.

Bottle: Poured a copper orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is nice hoppy blend with grape fruit and floral. Taste is bitter hops with floral hints and malt balance. But the hops lives long into the finish!
