BAM BIÉRE SERIES

Bam is an Extra Special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals.

Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

(Bottle, batch 288/280, on 2009-02-18) Dark brown and hazy. Large tan coloured head that doesn’t last long. Sour and citric aroma with some malty and raisiny notes. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Sourness, bitterness, malts, fruitiness, bit of raisin and tiny amount of sweetness in taste. Sour and bitter aftertaste.

batch#278 Pours dark brown, with thick creamy coffee/tan like head. Poured very lively head. Even 1/2 way through this beer kept foaming out of the bottle. Aroma has a good nose of hops with yeast that have the usual JP scent. This time it seems more attenuated (maybe because bottle has been aged some) light wood/malt aroma. Taste remains highly drinkable and light. The sour side remains light and tasty, there are notes of sour apple, some wood coupled with some hops for a light bitter mouthfeel.. At times the finish feels as if the abv is slightly over 4.7%

Big light beige shiny head. Deep brown hazy body. Tropical fruity intensely spicy aroma with notes of herbal citric cloves. Dry thin watery barnyard taste with wooden peppery notes. Thin, watery body. Dry wooden faintly acidic aftertaste. Nice, but I really liked the aroma best. (0.65l bottle, not sure who from.)

Bottle: Poured a medium brown color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma consists of tart and sour notes with some grainy malt. Taste is also a weird mix between some grainy malt with some tart and sour notes and an astringent final. Not as balanced as the Weizen Bam that I tasted a couple of days before.
