Bottle from theWolf, thanks! Best until 21.10.09. Almost black and opague. Mocha coffee, ash and dark chocolate in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast and mocha coffee. Has thinned, so probably past its peak. Still an utterly delicious beer.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, extremely dark brown colour, aroma of roasted coffee, wet earth, soy and mollases, flavour of coffee, , chocolate, wet earth and something greenish creeping in the back, light bodied. Nice and pleasant.

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Black with a nice light brown head. Big coffee beans aroma, a bit "green". Sweetish roasty flavor with lots of coffee and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. A good coffee Stout.

Black color with generous and creamy head. Roasted malt aroma, but strangely also some vegetables, and some roasted nuts; dust. Dry mouthfeel; roasted malts, begin of oxidization, some liquorice, low bitterness.
Not bad, but too old.

Bottle at a blind tasting at Haket during Gothenburg Beer Festival 2011. Sampled on Friday September 2, 2011One of the four beers in the "Stout" part of the beer judge part of the festival competition.Scent is sweet, milky, chocolate. Dark brown color, brown head. Taste is coffee, dry, malty, roasted. Smooth though to the thin side mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness.Personally scored it 44/50 using the shbf old summing protocol and first place, with all 5 judges together it ended up in third place.

On tap. As: "Bies Coffee Stout". Pours an opaque black with a creamy light brown head. Sweetish hard roasted malt in the nose and indeed some coffee. Medium body, burned malt accents, coffee and licorice and a slight tartness - from the malts?170711
