Hazy brown with a frothy off-white head. Brown sugar on the nose, and straight up top in the taste, with some fruit malt and just a hint of spice in the finish. Much lighter than your average ‘strong ale’

Tap at brewpub. Amber colour, tiny beige head. Woody caramelly aroma. Mediun-bodied. Woody hops, caramalt, toffeish. Restless.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, many thanks Graham! Country #180. Orange gold colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of malt, toffee, mellow citrus. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity with a touch of citrusy, and light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweetish & drying fruity bitter finish. Quite OK

20/1/2023. Bottle courtesy of IOWTim and his holiday in Cabo Verde. Pours slightly hazy amber red with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma is boozy, malty, toffee, stewed fruits, bread, yeast, touch spice and a slightly nutty veggie edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, quite smooth and oily, average carbonation. Beats anything else I've had from there.
