Lambics have been made in Belgium for over 500 years and we are honoring this tradition by brewing our own Indiana version. Upland lambics are fermented by wild yeast and aged in oak casks for over a year which creates a tart, complex beer. We then add whole cherries, giving the beer enticing aromas and flavors. The beer is bottle conditioned which adds a zesty and refreshing carbonation. Upland Lambic is the perfect drink to share with friends over a plate of good cheese and fresh fruit.

Very light amber pink color. Smells like tart fresh cherry pits. The fruit character is amazing. Light body, don’t love the base beer but the cherry is so, so so so good. Wow. Nice medium tartness. Dry. Excellent

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20190921) The beer poured red and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly pink. Aroma had tartness, cherries, cinnamon and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were tartness, fruitiness, cherries, cinnamon, malts, sourness and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, tart and bitter. A tasty tart brew.

Corked bottle, from a trade, tasted @ the UDRM in Oirschot. Golden color, with a touch of pink. Brett, leather and a touch of marzipan in the aroma and flavor. Dry with only the sweetness from the fruit itself. Nice one, but not comparable to a Belgian kriek.

Bottle into a taster showing translucent cherry red with sparse white foam. The nose shows lightly intense notes of cherry. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Moderately tart with lightly intense notes of cherry.

Had this one together with Finn on tap at BrewDog in Leicester. Kindly shared by jjsint. A pinkish head over a misty, reddish body. Lacing rings down the glass. Berry skins on the nose with notes of cherry. Berry tartness to the taste buds, cherry, oak and cheese-like yeast. Ends tart and dry. Decent cleanser and not a great favourite of mine. (10.02.2019).

Delt med Rune i hyggelig selskap av jjsint. Spandert av ham. Rosarød. Rosa skum langs glasset. God ripsaroma. Smaken kirsebær. Balansert. Lett syrlig avslutning. Av mine bedre sure!
