Bottle shared with the Chicago crew, thanks to Adam. Poured a hazy brown with a light gray head that dissipated to a film around the edges. Strong malty aroma with dark grains, some smoke and a bit of underlying whiskey. Flavor was a bit more sweet with brown sugar, chocolate and again an underlying whiskey.

12oz bottle pours a translucent, copper, amber brown with very little, cloudy white head. Aroma of cherry, musty, clearly there’s a brett infection, cheese, apples, nuts. Uh, where’s the barrel? Flavor is sweet, apples, brandy, caramel, a little butterscotch, finally the barrel comes through. Finish is full bodied, sweet, a touch of heat. Why blend and barrel age this at all? Seems a little self indulgent.

Bottle. Chestnut color, medium head, moderate lacing. Aroma of Alcohol with a capital A. Taste is very similar to Chivas Regal. Too boozy to be believed.

Bottle shared at Mes’s. Rich dark brown colour with a lingering tan head. Good looker. Enticingly fragrant nose, earthy, sweet malt, fruit, loads going on. Creamy and silky smooth mouthfeel. Loved the Makers Mark notes in the flavour which was slightly sweet and peppery and had vanilla, fruit, booze and barrel notes in there . As far as personal taste goes I think I prefer the US whiskey aged beers to the scotch whiskey ones, somehow they just work better for me. Excellent stuff.

375 from ericandersnavy. 317/480. Pours a really dark brown with a creamy beige/tan head. Aromas of oak and tobacco. Full bodied with mild, creamy carbonation. Flavor is oak, smoke, tobacco, old leather. Drinks like a Brew Dog Paradox. With treacle in the finish. Really good stuff.
