Pours clear deep brown with a small ivory-coloured head. Aroma: rich malts, dried fruit, nuts, brown bread. Medium body. Taste: good dark malts, walnut, dried fruit, cocoa, warming alcohol. Balancing bitterness. A proper bock, no question.

Bottle. Color: Dark copper, very light brown head. Aroma: Dark malt, caramel, malty. Taste: Dark malt, chocolate, caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with moderate hopbitterness. Bittery palate at finish. Just over medium body, just under average carbonation. Smooth, slightly foamy mouthfeel. Quite nice for a bock.

Bottle from kappldav123, thanks! Dark brown color. Malty sweet flavor with hints of butter. Bready. No significant aroma. Hints of roast and some warming alcohol. Desperately drinkable.

their best beer for sure. solid maillard reaction forward beer, a great malty cooked flavour. looks great. The only improvement would be to have a more full mouthfeel to balance the alcohol. d&S Dresden

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with weak ruby glimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly grainy, minimally musty, caramel and dark malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, hints of malt lozenge, old toffee, a touch of spelt and silage. Taste is minimally sweet, caramel malty, minimally dry, metallic, grassy hoppy, hints of malt lozenge, a bitter touch of burnt caramel; relatively light, almost a bit watery.

Aroma is the best part here with lots of dark malt some roast and a little bit of dark ripe fruit. Flavors are not to my liking with the emphasis on molasses and again the dark ripe fruit like raisins and prunes.

"Feldschlößchen Urbock", Flasche (50 cl) aus einem Supermarkt in Dresden. - Schwarzbraun, klar.

Can. Nutty chocolate toffee malt and fresh hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and moderately bitter/astringent hay flavor. Good body. Not bad - strange that Aldi’s beer selection is better in the US than it is in Germany.
