(Bottle, Ölbaren, Coepnhagen, 19 June 2010) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with caramel, blood oranges and hints of spruce. Fruity, malty taste with notes of caramel, orange peel and citrussy hops in the finish. More than medium body with some malt sweetness throughout. Well balanced and quite nice beer.

500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark (Føtex or SuperBest, Aalborg). ABV is 6.6%. Cloudy dark brown colour, big to moderate creamy head. Lovely aroma of American hops, notes of citrus, fir tree forest and flowers, also notes of caramel malts. Refreshing flavour, the hops dominate with notes of resin and grapefruit, but there is also a noticeable sweetness of caramel malts. Some hints of roastiness and chocolate too. Fairly bitter finish. Good beer!

Bottled. Copper coloured with mediumsized sightly off-white head. Some slight lace. Aroma is floral hops, some red berries as well as some fruity notes. Flavour is quite much the same, in a rather dry and bittery way. Tonguetickling carbonation.

Bottle. It pours an unclear, reddish dark orange body, topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has pinecones and citrus initially, soon followed by a nice maltyness to balance it. Strange hoppy flavor, dry and bitter, with some malts, still quite nice. Bitter finish with citrus and pinecones. Full-bodied and dry. Quite pleasant, the hops are a bit strange in the mouth, but nice. I should probably try this one again. (081011)

Bottle at the brewpub in Aalborg
Hazy dark amber color. It has a quite strong aroma of fruity American hops and some caramel, reminding, e.g., some Stone beers. It has a good body strength, quite round, with a powerful caramel flavor, the necessary sugars, and an excellent hopping, very fruity (citrusy) and quite resiny. Of course, strong final. Excellent.
