Belgian-Style Saison Ale

Our Spring Saison is light blonde in color with a fresh hoppiness and a wild and rustic Brettanomyces character. Lighter in color and alcohol than our Saison Rue, yet equally complex in its own way. Perfect for warmer weather and Spring celebrations.

Admin Note: Bruery has started to brew this beer again under the Bruery Terreux label.

Murky beige with a fluffy head. Yeasty, dusty aroma with spice and maybe a tiny bit of pedio - quite saisony. Funky taste, fruity and spicy. Big yeasty character and a dry, hoppy finish. Good stuff.

750 mL bottle. Way too much foam, making it impossible to pour more than half a glass. Pours pale golden, lightly hazy, with the huge white head. Very yeasty aroma, lots of green apple and cloves. Flavor is led by cloves and has a strong floral bitter hop presence alongside some apple or pear notes, a bit of a chalky impression from the yeast/hop combination. A bit of regular old pale malt flavor. Bitter yeasty finish, dry, dry, dry. Pretty interesting and good, but the giant head started it off on the wrong foot.
