Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with boozy rum, caramel, wood, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses. Flavour is sweet with a moderate bitterness, alcohol in the finish. Full body. Sweet and strong.

28/12/2024. Bottle from Tidens Farver, Aarhus. RateBeer farewell H number equals 52. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma is coffee, caramel, woody, rum, roasted malts. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, quite smooth, average to soft carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown, almost black body under a moderate sized beige head. Wonderful aroma, I could just sit there and smell at my glass for a long time. Dark malt, chocolate, coffee, dry fruit, raisins, Rum, vanilla – really complex nose. Taste is fantastic as well. Sweet, smooth, gentle roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, caramel, lots of dry fruit, smooth Rum, hint of vanilla, balanced bitterness and pleasant warming alcohol. Fin body and long lasting aftertaste. Pure joy.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small head. Aroma is ripe fruits, liquorice root, alcohol and rather sweet tones. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some sweet malts with mild syrupy tones and a bit of rum sweetness.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Pitch black, minimal brown head. Huge rum aroma with some licorice. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Rum, coffee and licorice. Rum, coconut, caramel and licorice. Warming finish. Intense, tasty but not very complex.
